CP - Where did you guys get married?
N&J - We got married at our home in Whangaparāoa, Auckland in a very small ceremony (under 30 people)
CP - Did you have a clear vison for the theme or style of your wedding, and how did you come to it, did you collaborate on this together?
N&J - We wanted a relaxed, intimate and fun wedding without lengthy speeches and set meals interrupting the flow of the day
N&J - We had originally planned a big wedding but covid interrupted those plans. I was also 28 weeks pregnant at the time so the day became more spontaneous and more about celebrating us with close family and friends.
N&J - Our engagement ring was a collaborative process between ourselves and Charlotte and started with choosing our stone and then building the ring around that. I loved leaning into Charlottes creative design process and trusted her to bring my ring to life, something timeless and classic but not overbearing - and she of course nailed it! We always knew we would go to Charlotte for our wedding rings and it was special to choose them together with Charlotte's help. I loved how understated my wedding jewellery was - I wouldn’t change a thing.
N&J - I didn’t expect to be up dancing until 2am on my wedding being so pregnant! But it was such a fun night we didn’t want it to end.
N&J - We actually weren’t going to do a first dance but our groomsman Sam demanded we choose a song. We ended up with Tiny Dancer by Elton John.
N&J - We delayed our honeymoon due to babies and Covid lockdowns, but eventually took a beautiful family trip to Fiji when our children were 2 and 6 months old to celebrate.
