C&T - Paros, Greece
CP - Did you have a clear vision for the theme or style of your wedding, and how did you come to it, did you collaborate on this together?
C&T - Tim was very happy to leave the "vision" to me but we agreed that the unique venue, the landscape & the stunning view (which happily displayed an incredible sunset) deserved to be the key features & we wanted the styling to compliment these features. We opted for soft, off-white fabric draped over wooden beams, oversized linen table cloths, candlelight & lace, which was subtle & elegantly romantic in our eyes. We also wrote the dinner menus on wine bottles turned into candles, which was a fun ode to bistro dining that we felt reflected our own style (& love of wine) more than printed menus.
CP - Was there a long period of planning or were you more spontaneous in how it all came together?
C&M - We were engaged for just over a year before our wedding, but once we selected our venue, everything came together quite easily & quickly (partly with thanks to our wonderful planners at Poema).
CP - How did you choose your wedding jewellery, and was there a special story behind any of the pieces?
C&M - I wore my chain bracelet that my sister gifted me for my 30th birthday, together with the La Pearla stud earrings that I chose when I visited the studio back in December 2024, and the gold Ram collar necklace. The pearl earrings tied in perfectly with the pearl detail on my dress, & the Ram necklace felt super unique & "meant to be" as it is inspired by Greek mythology - I also loved the symbolism & messaging around good fortune.
CP - What song did you choose for your first dance, and why does it hold special meaning for you both?
C&T - We chose "Harvest Moon" by Neil Young. We first heard this song together (actually, in the movie "A Quiet Place") & both fell in love with it. We play it often & it was a very easy choice for our first dance - I think we selected it even before we were engaged!
CP - What were the highlights of your special day?
C&T - Celebrating love & happiness with our closest friends & family, dancing all night (mostly in bare feet), & enjoying delicious Greek food & wine! It was also incredible to have a few days either side of our wedding on the island with our guests so that we could relax & everyone could get to know each other a bit better.
CP - Did you go on a honeymoon, and if so, where to?
C&T - We spent a few days after our wedding on the stunning Greek island of Amorgos, followed by a night on Santorini. We will enjoy a proper honeymoon next year as an escape from London winter.
