TEHUANA NECKLACE

This necklace is a homage to the Tehuana culture in Mexico. Frida was inspired by the Tehuana women and wore their traditional garments which we see throughout her work. The Black stone is commemorative to the black Tehuana skirt Frida was dressed in when she passed, and inspired by many of the traditional carved chokers Frida wore throughout her life.
