MATERNA RING

The Materna Ring, inspired by Frida's artwork 'My nurse and I',1937, is an expression of the disconnect she felt with her mother as a child. This work shows a masked figure breastfeeding Frida, representing the nurse, as her mother was unable to breastfeed her. The Materna ring is symbolic of the significance the maternal role plays in our childhood.

Gold plated rings are more prone to wear and tare than all other plated jewellery, for better longevity we recommend careful care and occasional wear. For rings you intend for daily wear, we recommend solid gold, please enquire.
